LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A partnership between Sparrow Health System and Michigan Medicine effective as of December 8, 2022 means new names are coming to the system’s s top entities.
Sparrow officials said they chose the new names to leverage the strength of the healthcare brands in the state.

The new names are:
- University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing (formerly E.W. Sparrow Hospital)
- University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Carson (formerly Sparrow Carson Hospital)
- University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Clinton (formerly Sparrow Clinton Hospital)
- University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Eaton (formerly Sparrow Eaton Hospital)
- University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Ionia (formerly Sparrow Ionia Hospital)
The partnership is effective April 1, 2024.
