Eilber was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head at the home of a relative in Lapeer. Attorney General Dana Nessel says Chadwick Mobley is charged with first-degree murder, felony murder, and felony firearms.
Investigators collected DNA evidence at the scene, which didn’t conclusively point to Mobley as a suspect 12 years ago. Michigan State Police questioned him in 2022 and he left his home soon after.
Law enforcement officers arrested him last Wednesday in Libby, Montana. Mobley will be extradited to Michigan to face charges.
