DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – A Major League Baseball (MLB) great Roger Clemens is coming to Michigan for the Northwest League All-Star Game Festivities on July 24-25. Clemens will be a part of the NWL festivities throwing out the first pitch of the All-Star game on Tuesday night at Turtle Creek Stadium in Traverse City, Mich.

General Manager Jacqueline Holm says, “As a native Houstonian, I remember Roger from his Astro days. Roger is one of the best to ever do it and bringing his accolades to Traverse City is incredibly exciting for our fans. His interest in this event also speaks to the quality of baseball in this league and the talent level of the kids on these All-Star rosters.”

Clemens was on the field Monday night for the Home Run Derby talking to fans, signing autographs, and showing off pictures of his grandchild. The seven-time Cy Young Award Winner played 24 seasons in the MLB.

The All-Star game will take place at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday night and will be on ESPN U broadcast by Matt Menzl and Dan Evans. Menzl is the play-by-play voice for the Lakeshore Chinooks and Evans is the COO of the Field of Dreams and former GM of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
