GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan State University medical students are giving free healthcare to homeless people in Grand Rapids.

The medical students are working with Grand Rapids Street Medicine for the free pop-up clinics. GRSM’s mission is to provide free healthcare to homeless populations across Grand Rapids.

GRSM’s president says more than 300 MSU students and 25 licensed doctors from Corewell Health are volunteering at their four clinics.

On average, each pop-up clinic treats up to ten patients a day. GRSM was founded by MSU students in 2018.
