NEWAYGO COUNTY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Two men were rescued from a West Michigan pond when their plane crashed in the water.
The incident occurred at Hardy Dam Pond in Big Prairie Township. The pilot of the seaplane was performing “touch and go maneuvers” as part of a training exercise when the plane began taking on water and crash-landed. It sank to a depth of over sixty feet and was removed from the lake by police divers and a local towing service.

No injuries were reported to the two on board.
