ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Four-star defensive edge Elias Rudolph from Cincinnati has chosen the Michigan Wolverines as his place to play collegiate football. The Taft High School product spent his junior season at Deerfield Beach in Florida but announced his choice on Monday night from Taft High School on Instagram.

“Me and Coach [Steve Clinkscale] Clink (UM’s co-defensive coordinator) have a relationship on a different level. As a young black male, we keep it real with each other. He got my respect, and I got his respect.”

This past season, Rudolph had 87 tackles and 17.5 sacks at Deerfield. He is ranked no. 291 on the 247Sports composite rating and Michigan now has 10 commitments that are top 300 players. He becomes the fifth player from Ohio to commit to Michigan for the 2024 class and the second to hold an offer from Ohio State.

Michigan’s 2024 class has 25 commitments and is ranked fourth overall in the class.
