DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Coming off an injury plagued season, the former 2021 NBA No. 1 Draft pick is showing signs of the player from Oklahoma State. The Athletic has reported that the guard will join the USA Basketball Select Team in Las Vegas on August 3. Also joining Cunningham will be the Rockets Jalen Green, Kings Keegan Murray, and the Thunder’s Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams.

Cunningham had a chance to play for Team USA in the 2023 FIBA World Cup according to reports from ESPN but he opted to stay and scrimmage against NBA-level talent. He will now be a part of the Select Team that has players that are 22 and younger and one could receive a call up in the event of an injury.
