FLINT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – It’s no secret that Flint City Council meetings have been filled with interruptions, outbursts, and its fair share of drama. A parliamentarian is someone who understands council rules and is tasked with keeping the meeting orderly.

This vote comes the same week that a judge ruled that ousted Council Member Eric Mays could return to meetings if he behaved in a professional manner. On July 31, the City Council voted to bar Mays from meetings until September 1.

Mays has caused a number of interruptions in council meetings, including these recent events.
