The names of those arrested have not been released and the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the case. The mother said her twins were taken by “friendly acquaintances” and police said the family knew the individuals. The mother told police she met acquaintances on Facebook who were willing to give her clothes and diapers.

Police issued an Amber Alert for Montana and Matthew Bridges early Monday morning after a call came into police late Sunday night reporting the twins were abducted from a Quality Inn in Livonia. They were only 14 days old at the time.

Someone dropped the twins off around 9:30 a.m. on Monday at Detroit Police Department’s 9th Precinct. Doctors evaluated the boys at a nearby hospital.

Family says the mother was staying at the hotel after she was threatened by people in ski masks who tried breaking into her home.

Anyone with information should call Detroit or Livonia police.
