MENOMINEE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – After being found guilty of home invasion, a 38-year-old Menominee man is facing up to life in prison since he is a fourth-time habitual offender.

Michael John-Robert Bertrand has been convicted of second degree home invasion, false report of a felony and malicious destruction of property stemming from a May 2022 incident.

In addition, Bertrand was on active parole for a previous felony conviction at the time of these new crimes, having only been released from prison three months prior.

Bertrand will be sentenced in October.
