DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – A suspect has been identified by Michigan State Police in the cold case 1982 murder of 16-year-old Kimberly Louiselle of South Lyon.

Troopers say Charles David Shaw has been identified as the suspect in the murder and they say he died in 1983. Police said DNA links Shaw to Louiselle’s case. Louiselle was last seen in Livonia on March 20th, 1982 and her body was found April 14th of that year in Green Oak Township.

MSP is crediting Cindy Arthurs, who started a Facebook page to share information about the case, posted flyers, and tracked down her sister’s friends. She also became a pseudo detective.
