The UAW Stand Up Strike is in its fourth week as membership keeps targeting certain Big 3 plants. The strike initially impacted three plants across as many states, including Michigan. It then lead to parts distribution facilities idling, and now the surprise walkout.
Last Friday in a Facebook Live announcement, Fain said progress with General Motors had adverted a strike at its largest plant in Texas. Instead, GM agreed to place electric vehicle battery plants under a national contract with the UAW.
