DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – October sales for Ford Motor Company declined by more than five-percent due to the impact of the United Auto Workers strike.

The automaker sold approximately 150,000 vehicles for the month with electric vehicle sales up by more than nine-percent.

Ford says hybrid vehicle sales set a monthly record with a 38% increase. Segment sales were led by a 10% increase in car sales, but truck sales fell by 10%and SUV sales were about the same compared to last year.

Ford began calling workers back to their jobs last week after reaching a tentative deal with the UAW. GM and Stellantis report sales on a quarterly basis.
