DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection to the murder of Detroit synagogue leader Samantha Woll.

Michael Jackson-Bolanos was arraigned Wednesday night.  Jackson-Bolanos faces several charges including felony murder, home invasion, and lying to police. If convicted on all charges he could spend life in prison.

Woll, the president of the Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue, was found stabbed to death outside of her home on October 21. At the time, speculation swirled that it could be antisemitism related the the Israel-Hamas war. However, police do not believe this was a motive.

Jackson-Bolanos will be back in court on December 27.
