EAST LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan State University (MSU) may soon have a new permanent president.
Kevin Guskiewicz will reportedly be has been named Michigan State University’s next president at a special meeting of the MSU Board of Trustees on Friday.

Guskiewicz is currently the Chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has been the only finalist for the MSU job since the middle of last month.
Interim President Teresa Woodruff has served for the better part of a year but said she was not interested in taking on a permanent position.
