GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Kent County Animal Shelter is lowering the cost of pet adoption fees because the shelter is nearly full.

The shelter says it has more than 100 animals currently, and most of them are dogs.

Instead of puppies for Christmas, the public is being encouraged to adopt a dog at the shelter who is looking for a forever home.

The shelter is partnering with Bissell Pet Foundation through December 16 to lower adoption fees to just $50. Find more information here.
