ITHACA, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Consumers Energy is now producing energy from wind at Heartland Farms Wind in Gratiot County.

There are 72 turbines on the property that can produce enough energy to power 80,000 homes.

It is the fifth wind farm operated by the utility.

The five projects can power around 330,000 homes.
