DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Delta is making it easier for Wolverines fans looking to travel to Houston to watch U of M take on Washington at the College Football Playoff National Championship by adding flights.

The airline said it added a flight from Detroit to Houston that takes off Sunday, Jan. 7 at 10 a.m. and comes home Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 7:55 p.m. Delta also added several flights to existing routes. The flights will offer close to 1,300 additional seats.

Michigan will take on Washington at NRG Stadium in Houston at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8.

Tickets aren’t cheap. A Michigan News Source search on Priceline found the cheapest tickets came in around $800. People can expect to pay an upwards of $1,300 per ticket, with prices flexing as the date gets closer.

Once fans land in Houston, they’re responsible for their own transportation, hotel, and food. However, that may dim in comparison to a U of M win.
