GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Grand Rapids K-9 officer Dozer has retired after suffering injuries last August when a vehicle hit his police cruiser.
Dozer suffered severe injuries to his back legs and spinal column from the crash. He never recovered to the point where he could resume duty as a working K9.

Tuesday marked his last day as a GRPD officer. The department thanked the medical team at Cascade Hospital for Animals and Project K-9 Hero for covering Dozer’s future medical costs.
