SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Road commission crews in the Upper Peninsula are working ahead of schedule this winter.

Due to the unseasonably warm winter, several counties in the U.P. are boasting that seasonal road weight restrictions started on Tuesday.

Semi-trucks traveling along roads in these counties will have to reduce their loads by 35% for now. Chippewa, Gogebic, Luce, Mackinac, and Schoolcraft counties have not yet set a load limit.
