KEWEENAW PENINSULA, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The U.S. Coast Guard has officially suspended the search efforts for a missing snowmobiler who disappeared off the coast of the Keweenaw Peninsula in the Upper Peninsula.

The search began Thursday after officials received an image of a message from the driver known as Bruce. The message read, “Got to close to the water to check out the view. Iceberg snapped off and I am floating to Canada. It’s melting fast…..send help. Bruce.”
