GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Police in West Michigan are warning about thieves showing up at people’s homes posing as city employees.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Captain Jacob Sparks said a theft occurred last month when a 91-year-old man let in a man claiming to be a utility worker.

The so-called utility worker said he needed to check the water for lead; that’s when a second suspect entered the home and stole cash while the man was distracted.
