HESSEL, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A new festival is coming to the Upper Peninsula to celebrate the Snowy Own and its wintery habitat.

The Snowy Owl Festival will be a month-long celebration in February which highlights the elusive bird. Guests will have a chance to get up close and personal with them.

In addition, the celebration is offering bird walking tours, how-to classes to find the snowy owl, live presentations, building classes for bedding for the winter birds, and much more. Some of the events have already sold out.
