WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Former President Donald Trump, who built much of his first presidency by building a wall at the southern border to stop illegal immigration, is traveling to Michigan on Tuesday to tackle that same topic.

His visit comes less than two weeks after the murder of Ruby Garcia. Officials say the Grand Rapids woman was shot by her boyfriend and illegal immigrant 25-year-old Brandon Ortiz-Vite.

“There’s never been a border where millions of people are allowed to pour into a country,” Trump said on The Steve Gruber Show on Monday. “You’re going to see crime at levels nobody has ever seen before,” he said, referencing the Biden administration and its lax border policy.

Trump plans to visit Grand Rapids on Tuesday. Instead of his usual rally, he plans to meet with law enforcement for a news conference.
