LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – In a move that has nugget aficionados rejoicing, Wendy’s has unveiled a culinary marvel: the limited-time 50-piece* chicken nugget meal, endearingly dubbed the “Nuggs Party Pack.”

The asterisk (*) is on there because Wendy’s says that you will actually be receiving 45 to 50 nuggets as the product count is based on approximate weight.

This gastronomic delight, heralded by social media influencers and fast food fanatics alike, started on May 8th, and has become the latest must-have in the world of deep-fried indulgence. Never mind that it emerges in the middle of what many are calling the Biden inflationary period – because when it comes to chicken nuggets, some folks don’t care about counting pennies.

How healthy is it?

In addition to ignoring their pocketbooks, chicken nugget fans are also ignoring all of the calories and salt that come with the nuggets as well. Using the Wendy’s 10-piece nugget nutritional information as a reference, the 50-piece nugget bucket contains 2100 calories, 135 grams of fat and a whopping 4,250 ml of sodium.

YouTube sensation Morgan Chomps, a connoisseur of all things breaded and fried, recently embarked on a 30-minute pilgrimage to secure her own Nuggs Party Pack. “You know what, it was worth it,” she declared triumphantly in her latest video after tracking down her bucket of chicken.

Describing the process with the enthusiasm usually reserved for unboxing a new iPhone, she recounted how the entire basket of nuggets was dumped into her bucket, leaving her with 50 gloriously fresh chunks of poultry.

Another YouTuber, HellthyJunkFood, documented her drive-thru adventure, revealing that the coveted bucket set her back $15.96. At roughly $0.30 per nugget, she gleefully noted it was a better deal than the standard 10-piece meal, which she said costs her around $0.47 per nugget.

Despite many who are clucking over inflation, Wendy’s remains coy about the definitive price of this bucket of bliss which appears to cost a different amount based on location.

The sauce choices are as abundant as chickens in a barnyard.

The option to choose between crispy or spicy nuggets is being offered in most locations in addition to the nuggets being generously accompanied by ten sauce containers, a veritable smorgasbord of dipping choices including: Ghost Pepper Ranch, BBQ, Sweet & Sour, Honey Mustard, or the classic Buttermilk Ranch. It’s almost enough to make you forget that your paycheck doesn’t stretch as far as it used to.

Where can you get them?

For those willing to embark on a quest for the finger-licking great Nuggs Party Pack, Wendy’s has kindly provided an interactive map to track down your bucket of bliss.

The Nuggs Party Pack, according to Wendy’s website, is available at 101 locations in Michigan and reaches as far up north as Traverse City – but no farther. Sorry, Yoopers.

Is a $20 bucket of chicken nuggets the “new normal”? In most places, yes. It just depends on where you live. In Traverse City and Portland, the bucket of nuggets comes up on the Wendy’s app at steal at only $15.99.

However, in Lansing and Ann Arbor, it’s $21.99. In Detroit, it’s $20.49.

Clumps of nugget bucket locations are especially prevalent around the Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo and southeast Michigan area. Other locations include Grayling, Cadillac, Manistee, Ludington, Big Rapids, Clare and Saginaw.

“Tastes better when it’s cheaper,” she quipped. However, she didn’t receive the iconic bucket presentation, instead receiving her nuggets in a less-than-inspiring plastic to-go container.

Nugget fans could feast on them all week long.

For those who CAN pace themselves (and live alone so they don’t have to share) this Nuggs Party Pack could be a budgetary savings if the nuggets can be stretched out into a multi-day feast.

Or you can share them with others with Wendy’s giving suggestions of taking the buckets to picnics, wedding receptions or watch parties.

So, while many in the media point to Biden’s America as being fraught with financial uncertainty, at least we can find solace in a bucket of chicken nuggets – assuming you can find a participating Wendy’s.
