DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Jury selection started Monday in the murder of Detroit synagogue leader Samantha Woll.

Woll was found stabbed to death outside her Lafayette Park home in October. Initially, it was speculated that the attack could be related to the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks in Israel, but police quickly ruled that out. In December, Detroit Police arrested 28-year-old Michael Jackson-Bolanos and accused him of stabbing Woll to death in a random home invasion.

Prosecutors say Jackson-Bolanos broke into cars nearby that night, and Woll’s blood was found on his jacket. However, his DNA was not found at the scene.
