WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Michigan Congresswoman Hillary Scholten (D) is calling for President Joe Biden to exit the race.

Scholten joins a growing list of Democrats who have questioned Biden’s ability to lead the country following his abysmal debate performance last month.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who is the co-chair of Biden’s reelection campaign, has repeatedly denied that she would like to step in to be the replacement. She also pushed back against a Politico report that said Whitmer had told the reelection team that Biden’s debate performance meant he could not win Michigan. She is currently on her book tour.
