GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – As the inaugural year of Calvin University football begins, the school unveiled their new locker room to the players on August 14. A state-of-the-art facility for the NCAA Division III program rivals all programs at their level in Michigan.
“This locker room is from a facilities standpoint as nice as you’ll find. Calvin has provided an incredible place for our players, our student-athletes to call home,” said head coach Trent Figg.

Calvin announced they were adding football in October 2022 and hired Figg in January 2023. Coming to Michigan from the University of Oregon, Figg was tasked in starting a program from scratch. In just a year and half, Calvin has 112 players ready for their first season.
Figg says, “We have 112 players that all reported to campus and I don’t know if I’ve ever been more excited for a fall camp.”
The season starts on September 7 as the Knights host Oberlin College at 1:00 p.m.
