LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Vice President Kamala Harris announced Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate.
Harris picked him after a narrowing down a larger group that did not include Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Whitmer, along with other Democrats, walked the party line regarding the veep pick.

Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D) who is hoping to secure the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate, offered her support as well.
Harris and Walz plan to visit Michigan on Wednesday and Thursday, but not before GOP Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance swoops in before they arrive. He is scheduled to make a campaign stop Wednesday in Shelby Township.
