LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan Republican Party filed a complaint with the Bureau of Elections against Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson. The complaint accuses Benson of alleged misuse of government resources to launch her bid for governor.

Last week, Benson held a press conference in a government building, which the GOP says is a violation of campaign law.

Michigan law states that a violation could result in a fine and jail time.
