FARWELL, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 35-year-old Chinese national is behind bars in Clare County and awaiting a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.
Derong Huang is housed in the Clare County jail after officials say he failed to slow down or move over while a Clare County deputy conducted a traffic stop on April 16. A press release said Huang almost struck the deputy and his patrol car.

The deputy finished the traffic stop and caught up with Huang, but he did not stop and continued to drive into Osceola County. A Clare County road sergeant used stop sticks on Huang’s vehicle and deflated all four of his tires.
Huang faces charges of fleeing, eluding, resisting, and obstructing a police officer, along with operating a vehicle without a license. A judge set Huang’s bond at $30,000.
