LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – One Michigan lawmaker apparently has so much time on her hands that she can step away from representing her constituents and vandalize a colleague’s car.
A video camera caught Rep. Julie Brixie (D-Meridian Township) encasing fellow Rep. Matt Maddock’s car in Saran wrap in the parking garage on Thursday.

Michigan News Source reached out to Brixie’s office but did not receive a response by press time. She reportedly told The Detroit News that Maddock had done a sloppy job parking his car. It overspilled into two spots, including Brixie’s.
Rep. Angela Rigas (R-Caledonia) posted on Facebook about the odd order of events. She said that “Brixie was recognized on the house floor for pretending to have guests in the gallery, then proceeded to identify a vehicle in the parking garage with its engine running. Rep. Rigas wrote those things were not true, but the car had saran wrap on it. She called Brixie’s move “strange” and “unbecoming” and said her actions are illegal.
Maddock responded by posting about a phonic curriculum bill vote held after the Saran wrap incident that Democrats voted against.

There are some calls for Brixie to removed from her committees, receive a censure, be stripped of her staff, or be expelled.
