LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – If former FBI Director James Comey is under investigation for allegedly calling for President Donald Trump’s assassination, then Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer should be next.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed on X that her department is investigating a now deleted Instagram post where Comey allegedly called for a hit on President Trump’s life.

Comey’s post displayed the numbers “8647” spelled out in shells on a beach. The numbers 86 are slang for “nix,” “take out,” or “kill.” The 47 refers to Trump as the 47th president.
Kash Patel, who serves in Comey’s former position, said his department is working with the Secret Service and providing support.
We are aware of the recent social media post by former FBI Director James Comey, directed at President Trump. We are in communication with the Secret Service and Director Curran. Primary jurisdiction is with SS on these matters and we, the FBI, will provide all necessary support.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has shared the same disdain for Trump despite her recent efforts to spin working with him. In an Oct. 2020 “Meet the Press” interview, Whitmer displayed a placard with the numbers 8645 in the background of the on-air shot. Trump served as the nation’s 45th president at the time.
She blew it off at the time, implying it meant nothing more than booting Trump from office.
