DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – At the end-of-year press conference, Trajan Langdon, the President of the Detroit Pistons Basketball Operations, had some great words for the fans. Detroit made the playoffs for the first time in a long time and hosted playoff games at home.

He says, “I was speechless, to be honest with you (about the atmosphere). I have been at playoff atmospheres a lot of places, finals with the Spurs and Miami, and Madison Square Garden. I think our fans were better than the fans at Madison Square Garden. Nothing against them and they are the Mecca, but our fans are unreal – the way that they brought – the sound that they had, the passion for our group, especially in the playoffs.”

His comments come after one of the greatest turnarounds in NBA history. The Pistons went from winning 14 games in 2024 to 44 in 2025. They won their first playoff game since 2008, snapping a 15-game playoff losing streak.

“What we saw in the playoffs was special,” said Langdon.
