SAGINAW, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Former Saginaw Valley State University linebacker Micah Cretsinger has landed a professional contract in Canada. On Wednesday, Cretsinger signed with the Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL after going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. He was invited to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie minicamp as his only NFL invite.

Crestsinger played four years for SVSU, compiling 271 tackles and averaging 6.2 tackles per game, recording 10 interceptions. He was a two-time NCAA Division II All-American and the GLIAC Defensive Back of the Year in 2024.

In his senior season, he earned four All-American awards from D2fooball.com, Elite 100, Don Hansen, and AFCA. This year, he had 82 tackles, recording 12 tackles in back-to-back games.
