MOORESTOWN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Authorities, family members and the Northern Lower Michigan community are searching for Dale Fasking, a 67-year-old man who went missing after a Wednesday late-night single-vehicle accident in Missaukee County. According to his daughter-in-law, Heather, the crash occurred between 10 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. on April 30, near North Nelson Road and Coombs Road in Norwich Township.

Fasking, who was reportedly en route to Traverse City, is believed to have walked away from the scene on foot – and has not been seen since.

Fasking is described as approximately 5’11” tall and weighing 170 pounds. The Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office launched an extensive ground search shortly after the accident, checking wooded areas, cabins, and seasonal properties. Deputies are urging property owners, especially those with outbuildings or remote structures, to inspect their land and report anything unusual.

Family members say Fasking may have had a cat with him in a tan or beige plastic carrier, which was missing from the RV he’d been driving. The missing cat carrier has prompted speculation that he left the vehicle intentionally, carrying the pet with him – or maybe went out looking to find the cat.

Public asked to stay alert.

Law enforcement emphasizes that Fasking may need medical attention and time is of the essence. No confirmed sightings have been reported since the night of the crash.
