ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Finding the best recruits for the 2026 cycle, Michigan hosted “Victors Weekend” on Friday, June 20, as the last official recruiting day before the summer dead period starts. The Wolverines brought 20 prospects on campus, including five five-star players.
One of the biggest names to come to Ann Arbor is five-star wide receiver Calvin Russell from Miami, Fla. Russell is the No. 21 ranked recruit according to 247Sports and the No. 3 wide receiver in the class. Michigan is one of his final eight choices, which also includes Miami (Fla.), Oregon, Florida State, Florida, LSU, North Carolina, and Syracuse. He is 6-foot-5, 195 pounds from Miami (Fla.) Northwestern. This is his second visit to Michigan and his final official visit before he makes his decision on July 5.

Another top recruit the Wolverines would like to have is Carter Meadows (Edge) from Washington, D.C., who is a 6-foot-6, 225-pound rusher. According to 247Sports, he is a five-star, and this is his second visit to Michigan.
Staying on defense, Titan Davis (DL) is coming from St. Louis, Mo., and is 6-foot-4, 270 pounds. He is a four-star who is the No. 101 overall recruit, narrowing his choices down to Michigan and Alabama.
Kelvin Obot is a blue-chip prospect as an offensive tackle and ranked the No. 131 in the 2026 class. The Idaho native was an All-Idaho selection for both the offensive and defensive lines and a state champion in the shot put and discus. He is also considering Utah but has also visited Oregon and Nebraska.
The final major prospect is the top-ranked recruit in Hawaii, offensive lineman Malakai Lee. His ranking is 137th in the 247Sports 2026 class, and he is 6-foot-6, 318 pounds, as he visits Michigan for the fourth time. He also had official visits to Georgia, Alabama, and Texas.
Michigan opens the 2025 season on August 30 on NBC at 7:30 p.m., hosting New Mexico.
