KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Becoming the eighth newcomer for Western Michigan’s men’s basketball program and next season, former LSU/Robert Morris player Justice Williams has signed with the Broncos. Williams is from Philadelphia, Pa., and was the 70th-ranked player by 247 Sports in his class.

Williams missed the past season due to injury, but in his first season at RMU, he started 29 games, averaging 12.3 points, 3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while making 83 percent of his free throws. He was third on the team in scoring and had 10 or more points in 21 games, collecting a career-high 21 points vs. Xavier.

Before attending RMU, he played two seasons at LSU in the SEC, making eight starts in 43 games. As a true freshman, he participated in 20 games as LSU had 22 victories and made the NCAA Tournament in 2022. He started one game and had 34 points, averaging 10.6 minutes per game. In his second season, in 2022-23, he appeared in 23 games with seven starts, averaging 3.3 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.
WMU head coach Dwayne Stephens says, “Justice is a very talented and skilled player. He can make his impact felt both offensively and defensively. He has seen a lot throughout his college basketball career. To add his experience to our group is a huge boost for our program. We are excited that Justice is joining the Bronco family.”
Williams joins transfers Jalen Griffith, Trey Lewis, and Hudson Ward with freshmen Sharod Barnes (Ypsilanti), Brady Swartz (Grand Rapids), Camden Thompson (Whitehall), and Carson Vis (Byron Center).
