LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Adults over the age of 18 in Michigan can save time and gas money by taking the written driver’s license knowledge test online.

The online test for eligible drivers matches the one available at Secretary of State branch offices. It includes a multiple-choice section and a road sign test which includes an audio option and multiple languages.

A $6.50 convenience fee applies, and test-takers need an operating webcam for identity verification throughout the test.

Michigan is the latest state to offer an online driver’s license testing option and joini Ohio, Wisconsin, Colorado, and California.
