LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) — Missed connections may soon be a thing of the past, as Michigan Flyer adds more daily runs and streamlines its schedule.
The regional bus service recently announced it will roll out a faster-paced schedule starting August 25, boosting frequency between Ann Arbor, East Lansing, Whitmore Lake, and Detroit Metro Airport.
Two more daily roundtrips are being added, bringing the total to 14 each way, seven days a week, according to the Michigan Flyer website. Officials say departure times have also been “fine-tuned” to better sync with airport traffic and flight schedules.
With eastbound runs starting as early as 2 a.m. and westbound service running nearly until midnight, the new lineup offers more flexibility and fewer close calls at the gate.
The service, which operates year-round—including holidays—also notes that pickups in downtown Ann Arbor may be limited during U-M game days or special events because of street closures.
