Police won’t identify the man until his arraignment on manufacture/possession of a Molotov cocktail and arson. The man said he was hoping what he made was flammable and would ignite, according to police.

The police were alerted by witnesses of a man attempting to light a rag sticking out of a glass bottle and then throwing the unlit bottle at the GOP building.

Police reviewed footage from surveillance camera in the area and identified the man. Police located the suspect at his home and then the man admitted to making the Molotov cocktails and throwing them.

Angela Hall, chair of the Dickinson County Republican Party, said no one was hurt and the building was not damaged. Hall said police told her the suspect said he attacked the GOP building because he was upset with “the administration.”
