TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 42-year-old Cheboygan County man accused of stabbing 11 people at the Traverse City Walmart on Saturday afternoon has been arraigned.

Bradford James Gille pleaded not guilty on Monday afternoon to twelve charges including assault with intent to murder and terrorism. Magistrate Tammi Rodgers of 86th District Court set Gille’s bond at $100,000. In addition, she barred him from returning to any Walmart.

Gille appeared disoriented during the proceedings. Judge Rodgers addressed the court. “It certainly is one of the most heinous accusations from an individual that has been before this court in 30 years,” she said, referring to Saturday’s stabbings.

A motive for the stabbings is still unknown. Gille will be back in court on Aug. 12.
