“The courses will help drive productivity, efficiency, and quality in companies’ supply chains,” according to an Apple press release.

Earlier this year, Apple committed to spending more than $500 billion in the U.S. over the next four years, creating thousands of jobs and fostering American innovation. Part of the funds will go toward building a factory in Texas and investing in Artificial Intelligence.

On Tuesday, Apple announced it would increase its commitment to $600 billion as part of its American Manufacturing Program.

“Today, we’re proud to increase our investments across the United States to $600 billion over four years and launch our new American Manufacturing Program,” Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO said in a press release. “This includes new and expanded work with 10 companies across America. They produce components that are used in Apple products sold all over the world, and we’re grateful to the President for his support.”

Cook announced the additional $100 billion investment with Trump at the White House.

“President Trump’s America First economic agenda has secured trillions of dollars in investments that support American jobs and bolster American businesses,” White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers said. “Today’s announcement with Apple is another win for our manufacturing industry that will simultaneously help reshore the production of critical components to protect America’s economic and national security.”
