LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer reportedly met with President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday regarding Medicaid changes and how she says the passage of the “Big, Beautiful Bill” will negatively impact the state.
This marks the third time since Trump took office in January that Whitmer has visited the White House. The first time she held file folders in front of her face after she and Michigan House Speaker Matt Hall (R-Richland Township) were whisked into the Oval Office.
Whitmer clashed with Trump during his first term in office, but she’s been pushing what she calls her ability to “work with anybody” while she unofficially campaigns for president.
