BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Three people died in a small aircraft crash around 5 p.m. Thursday, according to Bath Charter Township.

The crash happened near the intersection of Clark Road and Peacock Road and authorities located all three bodies. Bath Charter Township stated in a press release it was unclear what caused the aircraft to crash or where the plane was headed.

The Federal Aviation Administration was on scene and investigating as of Thursday night. The Aviation Safety Network reported that the plane departed from the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport and reached an altitude of 14,775 feet and entered a sudden descent and crashed within 30 seconds.
