DETROIT – (Michigan News Source) – Federal prosecutors have now charged eight people, including five from the city of Dearborn, in connection with an alleged terrorism plot for Halloween including suspects from the East and West coasts, the Detroit News reported.

Two Dearborn males, ages 16 and 17, were charged as juveniles in sealed court filings. Dearborn’s Ayob Nasser, 19, Mohmed Ali, 19, and Majed Mahmoud, 20, have all been charged and will remain in county jail while their cases are pending, according to the Detroit News.

The investigation has involved suspects arrested in Michigan, New Jersey and the state of Washington. The suspects were allegedly plotting a terrorism attack somewhere in the U.S. on Halloween. Court documents stated some of the suspects scouted an amusement park as well as a strip of bars in Ferndale that attracted LGBTQ people.
