DEARBORN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A third Dearborn man was arrested and charged for his involvement in an alleged terrorism plot that the conspirators had hoped would kill hundreds of people on Halloween.
Ayob Asmail Nasser is the latest of five men so far arrested for their involvement in the plot. Earlier Wednesday, law enforcement announced the arrest of two New Jersey men in that state in connection with the planned terrorist attack.

Nasser had purchased a rifle and practiced shooting firearms at a gun range.
In addition, Nasser was part of a group of men who scouted potential targets for their attack. One of the locations included Ferndale and a strip of bars that were known to attract LGBTQ members. They also searched areas in the Midwest as potential spots to attack.
The updated criminal complaint from the FBI also states the group had conspired to provide material support and resources to ISIS.
Nasser was involved in a federal lawsuit filed Oct. 7 by Epic Games in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District. CBS News reported that Nasser and another Dearborn man were Fortnite online video game players who used thousands of fake “bot” accounts to boost their earnings for the game.
The complaint also identifies a second juvenile that was involved in the terrorist plot.
