WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Rebecca Kay Park, 22, who was roughly 38 weeks pregnant at the time of her disappearance, was last seen on November 3 outside her biological mother’s home in the Boon Township area. According to early reports, she “willingly” got into a dark-colored vehicle before vanishing. The next day, her cell phone was found abandoned along a nearby two-track road not far from where she was last seen. It was her half-sister, “Kimmy,” who ultimately reported her missing. The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.
What friends say.
Amber Babcock told UpNorthLive that the last time she saw Park was Sunday, November 2. Babcock said, “We were dropping off the truck and she was screaming, ‘I’m in labor, I’m in labor.’ She helped me move all weekend long, and it ended up sending her into labor, going to Cadillac Hospital. Her last phone call was her mom, Cortney. She said, ‘Don’t let her get into a vehicle, I’m on my way.’ And from then on, she got into a van with Kimmy (sister) and Cortney (bio mom) and left – I haven’t heard from her since.”

However, according to People, Park’s fiancé, 43-year-old Rich Falor, said Park had told her mom, “Hold on. I got somebody to pick me up. This is just something I’ve got to do. I’m sorry.”
Community mobilizes.
In an effort to find Park, dozens of volunteers formed shoulder-to-shoulder lines through thick brush and woods west of Cadillac on Friday, November 14, with off-road vehicles and a search dog assisting. This wasn’t a law-enforcement effort – it was a volunteer-led search, with help from the Clandestine Investigative Authority, a professional search team out of Clare County. Despite the determined turnout, neither Park nor her baby were found.
Missing or hiding?
Wexford County Sheriff’s Office has issued a plea to the missing woman herself based on tips from the community. Authorities say Park reportedly received about $2,000 from a family inheritance the same day she vanished – money that could make it easier for her to stay off the grid and avoid electronic tracking if she chose to leave voluntarily. Law enforcement said, “Rebecca, the Sheriff’s Office and people close to you are concerned about your well-being. Based on statements made by people close to you, it is possible that you are scared or hiding for reasons known only by you.”
Authorities say they’ve done their own searches and need the public’s help in finding Park. From their posts online, it appears that the sheriff’s office thinks that Park may have disappeared voluntarily, but friends and family members are skeptical of that.
Friends told media outlets that Park had no plans to disappear and had been making future plans with her fiancé, Richard Falor – the father of her unborn baby and a registered sex offender. In an interview with UpNorthLive after Park’s disappearance, Falor said, “I just keep telling myself every minute that she’s going to be found, her and the little man (baby) are gonna be safe, okay…” adding that for the past two years, Park was the person he fell asleep next to every night.
Michigan News Source talks to family member about Park’s disappearance.
A close family member of Rebecca “Becca” Park spoke to Michigan News Source about long- standing turmoil inside Becca’s biological family including the allegation that Park’s fiancé, Rich Falor, previously dated Cortney. The relative said they believe foul play is involved and added that they have spoken with Wexford County investigators and are reviewing old messages from Park they believe may be relevant to the case.

When asked to confirm their contact with the relative mentioned above, Wexford County Sheriff’s Office Detective Lieutenant Chris Piskor would not verify their communications and responded by saying, “I’m sorry, we are unable to provide investigative information such as this. This case has only been made more difficult based on the vitriol that is circulating on social media. We are reluctant to share information pertaining to our ongoing investigation at this time. I can only confirm that we are still working to locate Rebecca Park.”
A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Park’s safe return. Anyone with information can call (231) 779-9211 and ask to speak with a Wexford County sheriff’s deputy.
