WASHINGTON, D.C. (Michigan News Source) – U.S. Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) said she’s under federal investigation for organizing and participating in a video last year where she and other Democrats with military and intelligence backgrounds urged troops to defy illegal orders.

Slotkin still cannot specify what specific “illegal orders” the Trump administration has issued, but that didn’t stop her from making another video slamming the Trump administration. “This is the president’s playbook,” Slotkin said in the video. “Truth doesn’t matter, facts don’t matter, and anyone who disagrees with him becomes an enemy, and he then weaponizes the federal government against them.”

After the “seditious six” released the video in November, an army veteran told Michigan News Source the video has no power over military since the last person they’d listen to are politicians. In addition, the vet pointed out there’s a chain of command for military personnel to go through if they’ve given questionable orders.

In the meantime, Slotkin’s colleague Mark Kelly is facing trouble as well. Earlier this month, Secretary of War Secretary Pete Hegseth  said his department is taking action with Kelly for his participation in the video. Kelly responded this week with his own lawsuit against Hegseth.
