DEARBORN, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Islamization of Dearborn is a trending topic on social media since the city’s Muslim mayor told a Christian pastor he was not welcome in the city last September.
Recently, a 2024 video has resurfaced on X in which an “Islamist influencer” told about two dozen young Arab boys at the Dearborn Community Center that Westerners are “uncivilized” for using toilet paper in the bathroom, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which posted it on its website. MEMRI, a pro-Israel watchdog website that tracks Muslim commentary, stated the event happened Oct. 11, 2024.
“They’re trying to go to Mars, they’re trying to take over Saturn. … Yet when they go to do the most lowest form of human nature, the call of nature, they’re still wiping themselves and cleaning themselves with paper.”
“They’re uncivilized. Do not be tricked and deceived by the technology. Do not be tricked and deceived by their philosophies and their Westernizations and their ideas. At the end of the day, they are still backwards,” the Islamic influencer said. “Allah has sent us to these nations to civilize them. … Yet the media makes us look like the barbarians.”
The Dearborn Community Center did not respond to an email seeking comment.
Just this month, online influencers have published dozens of videos on X portraying Dearborn in a negative light.
